Real Estate Hotline - a closer look at options and features

Getting Started With Your Real Estate Hotline

I've got my real estate hotline. Now what?
The first thing you should do once your real estate hotline is active is record personal greetings.  A personal greeting from you lets the caller know that you are a real agent - not just a generic name trying to make a sale.

To record your personal greetings, log in to your real estate hotline administration menu, and select option 4.  From here, you will be able to record the "welcome" and the "after-listing" message.  If you want to restore the default system prompts, you can do so through this menu option as well.

Creating hotline listings
Once you have setup your custom greetings, you can begin setting up your listings.  To create a new listing, go to the admin menu of your real estate hotline, chose option 1 (Create Listing menu), and then option 1 (create a regular listing).

You will be prompted to enter the listing number you wish to create.  Enter any 4-digit number.  The hotline will prompt you to record information about the home.  Press # when you are done recording.

Creating aliases for your listings
If you plan to advertise this property anywhere other than the property's yard sign, you should create alias listings.  To create an alias listing, log into the real estate hotline admin menu, choose option 1 (Create Listing menu), and then option 2 (create an alias listing).

You will be asked for the alias number you wish to create and the regular listing number to be associated with this alias.

When callers enter the alias listing number, they hear the recording you made for the regular listing, but your call statistics in your online portal reflect that the call was for the alias listing.

Monitoring the real estate hotline
You should log into your online portal regularly to track how well your real estate hotline is helping you sell your listed homes.  Viewing call data for each property shows you the amount of interest in the home as well as providing you with a phone number of the caller - so you can be proactive in selling your listings.

After the closing
Once the home is sold, you can delete the listing from your real estate hotline.  You can delete the listing one of two ways:

1. Log into your real estate hotline portal, choose "Manage Listings", and click the delete button next to the regular listing you wish to delete.  The listing number and all associated alias listings will be deleted from your real estate hotline.

2. Call your real estate hotline, enter the administration menu, choose option 3 to delete a listing, and enter the listing number you wish to delete.  The listing number and all associated alias listings will be deleted from your real estate hotline.
